This past Wednesday we had our first club meeting of the year! Our officers presented a game and a PowerPoint about the upcoming Jr. Beta convention. On August 3rd, 2016 Junior Beta Officers and two members helped put stickers on cars at Registration. The stickers help identify what school your child attends and is a show of pride on your vehicle. Officers who participated were Hayes Gill (Treasurer), Trey Ketchum (Reporter) and Katy Beth Bedingfield (Secretary). Members who participated were Hamilton Bedingfield (8th) and Carson Huff (7th). On May 3rd, 2016 Junior Beta Officers, Mr. Graham, and Dr. Bowen, hosted a teacher breakfast to celebrate what all of our teachers do for us. We wanted to give back! Many Junior Beta Officers brought things such as donuts, casserole, sausage, cinnamon rolls, etc. Many teachers enjoyed the music and the food. Thank you to all Officers and Teachers who came out to help. Here are some images of what it was like.
On Tuesday, September 29,2015, we had our very first 2015-2016 Jr. Beta meeting! It was held in the cafeteria, from 3:30 until 4:45. We discussed the convention, how much it costs, and much more. We also had a fun activity and snacks. Thank you all who came out! We hope to see you all at our next meeting! :)
The 2015-2016 Jr. Beta officers met yesterday at 7:00 a.m. in Mr. Graham's room. We planned our next meeting, which will be held on Tuesday, September 29th, in the cafeteria. It was a huge success! If you will be attending the meeting (which we hope you do), make sure your ride can pick you up by 4:45!
Beta had a meeting last Wednesday, September 3, and the officers discussed the Jr. Beta Convention. Any information needs or questions please see the Beta teacher on your hall; 6th grade: Dr.Bowen, 7th grade: Ms.Ring, and 8th grade: Mr.Graham. Your officers have officially planned the calendar for the 2014-2015 school year. We are very excited to see you tomorrow at the meeting. Don't forget to have your ride pick you up before five o'clock. Any questions or concerns please feel free to comment.
Officers met to plan the 6th grade Jr. Beta induction ceremony that will take place on Thursday, February 20th after school. See invitation for more details. We are looking forward to inducting many more Jr. Betas!!
The Jr. Beta State Convention was held on November 21st and 22nd in Macon. Thirty-nine 7th & 8th grade Jr. Beta Club members attended the 31st Annual Georgia Jr. Beta Convention. This year marked 9 consecutive years that LCMS students have been in attendance, and LCMS 8th grader Taylor Moosman, along with the other state officers, helped run the convention this year. Take a look at the slideshow below to see highlights of our trip! hand out and put LCMS stickers on every car before they left. A few officers and Jr. Beta members helped out. Our officers that helped were Scott Hicks, Taylor Moosman, Anna Murphy, Tal Thompson, and Jacey Wheeler. Jr. Beta members that helped included Grace Cotton and Evelyn Johnson.
